Are you having troubles with persistent musty or toilet smell inside your house? It can be very uncomfortable and embarrassing to live and receive guests in such circumstances. You can try to remove these unpleasant odors in the house using following methods.

Remove toilet odors

Toilet odors can be very determined and obnoxious. In order to remove them for some time, mix 1 cup of baking soda, 1 cup of borax and 1 cup of salt. You can add a few drops of essential oil or perfume if you want to get a scented scrub. Scrub the toilet and the surface around and rinse it with hot water. The smell should be removed for some period of time.

Clean the toilet tank

In most cases, what really smells bad is the toilet tank. You can remove the odor from the toilet tank by pouring a half cup of vinegar in the tank and then scrub it with the toilet brush. Just flush the water afterward.

Smell of sewer

The smell of sewer can be harmful to your health so it is best that you remove it. You can easily do it by pouring 2 cups of bleach in each drain. Wait for 10 minutes and then pour hot water down the drains.

Remove the smell from the fridge

Unplug the fridge, remove all the food and leave the door open for one or two days. After that, place baking soda or active charcoal in a small vessel and put the vessel in the fridge.

Mold smell is both disgusting and bad for your health so it is the best that you remove it from your room or a house. The best way to clean the house thoroughly is to clean it with the solution of bleach and water. Also, you should remove all the old newspapers and cardboard from your house. After you have cleaned the area, put two or three cans with charcoal briquettes in the room. It will absorb mildew smells. For absorbing mold smell, you can also use a can of baking soda. Open the can and leave it in the room. You should replace the can every two months.

We hope that these tips will be of help to you, but if the odors in your toilet, basement or house are widely spread and persistent, then be sure to call professionals for odor removal.
